How’s it going guys? Alright so straight to the point- Knightfall Part 3 is not too far away by this point, and since I’m expected to review that, I should be reviewing my 2^nd favorite movie from last year. A review long-overdue by this point, so yeah lets dive right into this:

 

 

 

 

 

The Dark Knight, TheFallen123 version, not the Christopher Nolan version…  Although, that one is good also, so that’s another similarity.

 

So The Dark Knight is a movie that follows this guy known as Danny Parker- as he realised that he lives within part of a society which is filled with superheroes that come from many different parts of the universe, and he learns that he is the one that was chosen to protect earth- however when an interdimensional being known as Nightmare arrives to earth- Danny has to live up to his title and save the world.

 

Really that’s kind of it, it’s a very basic plot and I’m actually okay with that- the writers of this movie aren’t trying to making something ambitious and overly complex- well not yet anyway, but more on that in a few weeks! It goes to show that even some of the more basic storytelling can sometimes show some more successful results… example being Orbital Providence (Which I previously reviewed).

 

However that being said, it’s not without its flaws, firstly Danny Parker, as much as I did like his characters- he was a bit… how do I put it… underdeveloped in some way- it’s just.

“Hey I’m Danny Parker; I’m a guy who misses the school bus a lot- so I’m always late to class. There’s this chick I like- oh I’m a superhero now, apparently.” I don’t know, I mean I like the guy like I just said, but something for some reason doesn’t quite click with me.

The character Alexis in this movie, I didn’t really care about to be honest- it’s just I don’t see a reason for her to be in this movie. She didn’t add any relevance to the plot and she didn’t play that big of a part in my opinion, what’s more I couldn’t buy their relationship at all, so by the end of the movie when she goes to his house and Danny is doing the whole:

“Oh I’ve put the people I love in harms way, and I cannot risk that anymore I cannot date you, sorry babe.”

 

I was like… ‘kay, um… yeah?

 

That being said, that was my only gripe with this movie, because almost everything else in my opinion holds up just fine, I do have a few other minor problems, but those are simple nit-picks so, they can be ignored.

 

My personal favourite scene in the movie was when Danny was called up by Reclaimer to train to become The Dark Knight that we know and love- Reclaimer is going though all the things that the suit contains and what the sword can do. That scene is the money-shot right there, the excitement building up- this is the moment the movie got awesome in my opinion.

Also the action scenes in this movie- not the best I’ve ever seen, but they were exciting anyway- the fights between Danny and Nightmare were quite intense- there were times I slowly moved closer to my computer screen, it got that exciting.

Doesn’t quite make up for the fact that we have characters that by the end we know very little about, but it does make for quite an entertaining movie- I guess it’s because we all know that we have Knightfall right afterward… I’ll say that much.

 

So overall:

 

At the end of the day, TheFallen123’s Dark Knight was thrilling and fun, some basic storytelling which is a nice change from the frequent ‘use your brain’ stuff which people keep belching out now. Characters were a bit generic and a I had a few minor issues with pacing, but this movie still holds up as a Robloxiwood great.

 

 

Time for the rating:

I’d watch TheFallen123’s The Dark Knight again, and I wouldn’t regret! (8/10)
